Job Information

Support product design and development activities by providing tooling feasibility, tooling estimates, and general tool tracking for programs in development, to meet targets for quality cost and delivery.
Responsibilities
• Provide production and prototype tooling feasibility during product development process.
• Ensure compliance to Faurecia standards in all phases. Engage PoC where needed – make sure standards, guidelines, and lessons learned are considered.
• Create, update and monitor timelines for tooling to support program requirements, using standard reporting formats.
• Interface regularly with product engineers, CAE analysts, PoC, and other engineering resources to ensure proper inputs are provided to external supply base.
• Support initial trials of new tools, to ensure process and capability are properly evaluated.
• Support cost reduction activities to ensure lowest cost to deliver safe, functional tooling that meets standards.
• Support management of tooling process to ensure lowest possible tool tuning cost, while meeting program requirements for tooling.
• Follow requirements of Faurecia “FES” and “PMS”, to be compliant.

Position Specifications
Knowledge / Skills:
The performance needs to be in accordance with the core competencies.
PTE must have appropriate experience in the domain he will be working, and “polyvalence” with other domains is considered an advantage.
PTE will be expected to work in parallel with “Pole of Competence” to ensure that process execution is truly optimized, and meets targeted performance indices (scrap, yield, cycle time, etc.).
PTE will work with manufacturing lead (“PML”) to ensure proper interface to production equipment is anticipated.

Education / Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in a related engineering discipline and/or 8-10 years of automotive tooling and/or manufacturing engineering experience is suggested.
Facility with standard PC software is required (MS Office, etc.).
Strong written and verbal communications are required – customer language preferred.

*We are looking for someone with a background in secondary tooling (Vibration Welding, Ultrasonic Welding, Punching)
