| Job Information | Direct Hire opportunity. Must have Foam and Carpet experience • Use automotive Floor & Acoustics tooling, product and plant knowledge to provide product engineering and operations/plant engineering support for new product launch, product transfers and engineering changes. • Product launch support to include plant and line layout, line installation, tooling installation, product trials and line shakedowns and follow up to ensure that product meets customer requirements. Interact with corporate program team to ensure that implementation is as efficient as possible. • Product transfer duties to include all aspects of product launch support with the addition of planning of bank builds, equipment transfer, tooling transfer and quality implementation of products. • Effective implementation and/or creation of engineering/quality documentation including PFMEAs, Control plans, and work instructions. • Providing feedback to plant and corporate product teams to ensure lessons-learned are well documented to take advantage of such for future products. • Initiation, investigation, and when appropriate, implementation of cost save initiatives. • Provide accurate product cost estimates with the assistance of appropriate plant/corporate personnel • Other engineering duties as required. |
